Father's Day Card - 2012

My project on Friday was to design and make 2 father's day card. One card was an order from my friend and the other card was for my hubby :-).

For decor I opted for ribbons, bows, buttons and horses. For my friend's card, I attached a little pull-out note so the kids could write out their personal message. Tools that was used for scrapping was a combination of Silhouette Cameo, Cuttlebug, Stamps, glitter glue and also some misc. decor pieces.

Getting more and more hooked into scrapping cards :-), lol!

Best Wishes Card - for Mauro & Carolina

Friend's of ours were going to leave Cape Town, moving to Poland, and they are Argentinians. So I was on a task to create a farewell and best wishes card. I tried to incorporate a little bit of the Argentinian flag color at the front part of the card as requested by my husband :-)..
I was totally happy with the outcome except for a slight thing to note for future projects!
"Never put up any add-on craft beyond the card border i.e. the butterflies at the left corners as this could damage it, especially when it's not flexible :-)"

Thanks Mauro and Carolina for allowing me to update the pictures into the blog :-)

Birthday Card -May2012

I had a birthday party to attend and taught, since I have all scrapbook materials, perhaps I should make a personalized birthday greeting card. So worked up on the cards for about 4 days, lol, yeah 4 days in between of my own work, house stuff, kids stuff. But despite being so busy, I totally loved the art of doing it.

Thanks Patricia for allowing me to share the pictures....

My first handmade card.....

I was just so excited getting into scrapbooking which sort of blinded me that it is indeed an expensive hobby :-) but nevertheless its sort of a therapeutic activity as well......

I sat down a couple of days ago and calculated the money I spent on buying stuff..... from tools to materials.....hmmm........and yes I think it sort of burnt my pocket, I need to cut down on my personal shopping now I guess, lol.

However after scrapping my first handmade card, its a pure satisfaction on the final output, I must say that I am not that great a scrapper yet....:-) and at the moments my designs are not so shabby, perhaps its my personal preference at this stage :-)....

I didn't realize my passion for craft till I started scrapping cards, which made me drift till 2 am figuring out some combinations for a card I made for my boy's class teacher. Its rather a simple card, but I feel that it does add a personal touch as we can create the way our emotions fall into place for the art of creativity....and yes finally I am using my left brain now after years of working in coporate line.....ha!ha!

I have uploaded both the front and inner of the card.......

Hugs and love,
